I have tryed to do that style many times, and whatever you do, DO NOT use a curling iron unless it is very very very thick. Buy a volumizing hairspray, Aussie high volume+high hold is a very good hairspray found at drugstores. Buy a nice round brush and use your hair dryer. When your hair is wet, suse the round brush and wrap sections of your hair around it. Then while using the blow dryer to dry the hair while it is around the brush. When it is dry, spray the hairspray on the hair and then unroll it from around the brush. Or go to sally's beauty supply and buy medium velcro curlers and use those instead of a round brush.
