Let her know that it's never permanent. Your hair will grow out, and the curl will grow out with it.

How about going with your mom together to a professional Hairsalon and have them help you to take care of your problem%26gt; They can help you find the golden middle , How about cutting it into a fashionable cut %26gt;or use a hairstraightening iron from Wallgreens

you're hair won't fall out. but i hope you know that getting your hair permentally straightened is raelly expensive. its ilke $300. i'm not sure if you want to spend that kind of money. but then again it does last like for about six months.
just love the hair you have.

I had a friend once who had really tight curly hair. (Like Afican people sometimes have. she's white though) she tried every straighening product. Nothing bad happened to her. (They didn't work cuz her hair was curled so tight) yours doesn't sound like it's super tight curls, so it'd probably work. She was 14 at the time. Hope this helps.

My hair is Naturally curly, fizzy and puffy! I love it but hated it growing up so i did the straight perm relaxer thing. DO NOT DO IT!!! it made my hair fall out and literally break off. The middle part of head was so short i had to cut my hair into a bob thing to even it out. It turned out to be worse. Try curly hair products that are specially made for curls like the Pantene Pro-V for curls, Bumble to bumble or Martix. Trust me, you'll love the way your hair looks by using these products. Juss please Don't do it!!!!!!!

It's still only going to be temporary. Just tell them it's temporary.
Because your hair grows from the root, you will have to constantly maintain the smooth look by having it treated periodically.
It might look strange during the grow out phase.

I know someone that got a curly perm when they were 3 yrs old. No lie. She's my hairdresser. Perm's are harmless. I got one. A curly one but still. Its not going to ruin your and you wont go bald. And it will grow out naturally when your hair grows out. So its all good =)

Straightening hair is no different than perming or coloring. It's not damaging if you look after it properly. Besides, do your parents want you going through high school with low self esteem? And...I'm sure people don't judge you by your hair anyway. Take me for example. My mother dresses me in horribly baggy clothes and older styles. I hate it. But I realized only the really shallow people hold your appearance against you. If you want to minimize poof, when you get out of the shower, DON'T BRUSH YOUR HAIR! Run you fingers through it or use a pick. Don't blow dry it either. Try using a frizz minimizing cream, and make sure you get it in the roots as well as the ends. Honestly, though. I kinda agree with your parents. Think about it. While you're hair is growing out, it'll be poker straight at the ends, but all frizzy and poofy at the roots. Then you'll have to worry about curling or straigtening it everyday. That will dry it out and damage it enormously. Unless you're willing to chemicallly straighten it every couple of months.

I wouldn't permanently straighten my hair....you should try a wash and set instead....which is putting your hair in rollers and sitting under the dryer...and then having your hair blow dryed...this is what I do to get my frizzy curly hair straightened...aand to maintain it aat home I wrap my hair up at night aand touch up with a straightening iron in the morning...something permanent could be damaging to your hair. Give the wash and set a try....

First you have to know that nothing is permanent, after the hair is straightened the new growth coming in will be growing in as it is now, but the hair on the ends will stay straight until it gets cut out. after a few months you can do just straightened the roots. This should be done by an expert in hair straightening that uses Paul Brown, You should have your hair cut in long layers, use shampoo and conditioners for frizzy hair, blow dry thoroughly and flat iron.

I used to have unimaginably frizzy, puffy, terrible hair. I hated it because people used to make fun of me and called me Hermione, because she in known in the book to have really big hair. About a year or two ago I got my hair cut at Hair Masters and the woman washed, cut and layered, and straightened it with a blowdryer! I was so amazed that she'd done what I had tried to do so many times before. The next morning, I took a shower, and was moving around the house, not really paying attention to anything. When I went into the bathroom to brush out my hair, I just stood there, and stared at the spiral curls. After a year, I managed them, and now they are gorgeous. Maybe you just have to tame your hair, and find the right shampoo and cut? Try TreSemme, SunSilk for curly frizzy hair, and Dove.
Also, my friend has her hair straightened every 6 months, and she has been having it done for almost 6 years now. Her hair did NOT fall out or get damaged because she did not DYE her hair any time near the time it was relaxed. As long as you do not dye your hair or use any other chemical products near the time you straighten it, you are safe.

I would recommend against having this procedure done. I am speaking from personal experience. I too had curly semi frizzy hair and wanted to have a simple way of straightening it.
Well I had it done about a month ago and I simply hate it. I spent over four hundred dollars and I hate it. My hair now is so flat and has absolutely no volume. My hair is beyond pin straight now and I still have to use a straightener to curl the bottom under for the bob style that I like.
I regret doing it and can not wait until my curly hair returns.
Please do not do it. If you want straight hair buy the straightener that is called the maxi glide. You can buy it on line or usually at any beauty store. It works great and will straighten your hair temporarily.
Take it from one who knows don't do it. Save your money.
