The ends of my hair are a bit lighter than the rest of my hair...what do I do?

1 1/2 years ago I dyed my hair a darker espresso brunette with Feria. Big mistake! My natural hair color is medium to dark auburn/brunette. But the Feria, rather than permanently dying my hair a darker brunette, actually turned my hair into a fried, brown mud color...and after two days, the dye rinsed out, leaving my hair ruined and a light brown gold color (lighter than my natural color). I guess the Feria must have first "lifted" my natural brunette color to a lighter level before depositing the ugly mud color onto my strands. Well, a couple years later, I have gotten scheduled trims, but there is still this line of demarcation that shows lighter ends and darker roots. I don't want to dye my hair ever again, plus, I want to grow my hair to waist length. What do I do to get a more uniform color all over without dying or using henna? The color change at the ends is probably one or two levels lighter than the rest of my hair. I have baby fine hair in the front and medium thick in back.

The ends of my hair are a bit lighter than the rest of my hair...what do I do?

Buy a toner that is the color you want the ends to be.

Also buy a shampoo/conditioner that is made specifically for your hair color.

:D

The ends of my hair are a bit lighter than the rest of my hair...what do I do?

TRIM THE ENDS AND DEEP CONDITION UR HAIR 2 TIMES A WEEK BUT DONT RE DYE IT CUZ IT WILL CAUSE DAMAGE

How do i keep my hair from dying in the heat??

Garnier Fructis Mousse works fantastically. You can put it all over and still use a blow dryer and flat iron on your bangs. My hair is straight, but thick and frizzy and it makes mine super smooth even when its uber humid

My friend has hair from the 1980's.?

My good friend who is almost 40 has really big poofy hair. She can't seem to find a good guy, but I think a part of the reason (at least now) is that she has the same hair style she did from 1985. Is there any way that I can get her to realize that her hair is really out of style?

My friend has hair from the 1980's.?

How about inviting her to get a makeover w/ you? Talk about needing to update or freshen your look.

Do some research %26amp; find an excellent hair stylist in your area. Allure reviews salons all over the U.S. %26amp; they have a directory on their website, http://www.allure.com/

May it a I'll do it if you will too kind of thing. Work up to it as you go shopping, look at magazines at the bookstore cafe or watch TV (ex. What Not to Wear on TLC).

She may be staying w/ that style 'cause it "works" w/ her hair %26amp; she has no idea of what else she can do w/ it so expose her to the idea under the guise of asking for her opinions about your hair.

You don't have to commit to a radical change for this. You can just say something like, my hair has been harder to manage so I'm looking for cute new cut to make it more full or quicker to style, etc.

Good luck.

My friend has hair from the 1980's.?

If someone has the same hairstyle for more than 20 years then good luck getting them to change. Maybe get her a gift certificate to a salon. They may be able to talk her into something more trendy (or less embarrassing).

My friend has hair from the 1980's.?

I'd say be subtle about it and just sit down with her with a fashion or hairstyle mag and go through it together. Ask what would look good on you, and tell her what styles she would look good with. Then suggest going with her to a salon and getting it done. Just be subtle about that being your motive and be friendly about it.

My friend has hair from the 1980's.?

Treat her to a beauty day and talk to the stylist ahead of time and maybe she could help...sometimes it just needs to be jump started with a color or a little flattery...women seem to listen to men hairdressers...a straight good looking one gets the hormones going

My friend has hair from the 1980's.?

I have currly puffy hair and when I brush it its even worse. Theres this product I put on my hair that I get from the beauty supply store that gives it a really good look.

My friend has hair from the 1980's.?

tell her to look in the mirror?

just kidding.

do it subtly..

maybe when you're with her one day, point out someone else's hairstyle on the street or in a magazine and tell her that it would look great on her.

or get a haircut/new hairstyle yourself and tell her how great it made you feel.

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

Whenever I unbraid my hair ,Like 6 or 7 hairs come out of my to braids(everyday).I know you may not think this is serious but this use to never happen before.I also lost hair when I was in grade 5.Big chunks of hair use to come out everyday. You would have been suprised I wasn't bald.My hair use to be so think and long. Now it's long but think too like it sorta use to be like. But I'm afraid I might start losing hair even if I'm not right now.

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

6 or 7 hairs is very, very normal. In fact it's less than normal. Normal hair loss is like 40-200 hairs per day! Also, people's hair gets thinner over time; that's why you see all the little old ladies with wispy hair that they tease all around. It's just one of those unfortunate facts of life.

Things that you can do to reduce hair loss:

Treat your hair very gently all the time.

Comb with a wide-tooth comb, from the bottom up.

Your wide-tooth comb is your best friend. Get a seamless one (ie from Mason Pearson)--it's worth every penny and you'll never go back to regular combs.

Sleep on a satin pillowcase; that way your hair won't grab on to the cotton fibers and get all ratty/pulled out. It sounds kind of hoakey but it makes a HUGE difference, I swear.

Don't pile your hair all on top of your head when you wash your hair, and never never ever brush wet hair.

Try not to shampoo as often, and be sure to use conditioner. Basically do as little as possible to your hair--ironic, isn't it?

I'm listing a bunch of links that you might find useful for taking good care of your hair. Good luck :)

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

omg these are great thanx Report It

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

Drink lots of milk.

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

Take your vitamins and stop stressing out.

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

super glue works for me

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

It sounds like you might have Alopecia, a disorder that causes hair loss.

However, it can also be atribbuted your braids. Do you braid your hair tight? The roots or midlength can snap off and when you take the braids out the hair will fall out. Try using a leave in conditioner and braiding you hair not as tightly. It has been said that Hair is a window into the body. Shiny hair=health, Dull hair= unhealthy. Hair Loss= Problem. You should really see your doctor about this.

Also keep in mind people on Chemo lose their hair becuase of the buildup of toxins in thier system. You might be ill and your body is reacting.

But is is summer. Some people are know to shed more.

Have a good Day.

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

I know the feeling... I've the same problem myself.

It's natural that we lose strands of hair anyway. I'd say stress and staying up late (old habits die hard) also you mentioned braiding, maybe you've braided your hair too tightly because that's possible too.

You are what you eat, so try to keep a healthy, balance diet.

Another is use a hair brush with softer bristles.

Avoid coloring your hair or treating it to harsh chemicals too often that causes breakage.

What can I do to make my hair from falling out.?

if you do not see the roots on the hair that is coming out than you really shouldn't worry, most people lose up to 80 hairs a day and this is very normal. if you do see the root, then you need to see a doctor as there may be some reason for it falling out, age, stress, medication, harditary reasons, and other things can cause your hair to fall out. if your still worried, call the doc and see what they say. Good Luck.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

MCR is amazing, and its just stupid how every "alleged" MCR fan is upset about what Gerard did to his hair. Its called a hair cut and it doesn't affect the music................. besides he is SEXY either way............................. I'M SO FRUSTRATED WITH IT!!!!

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

There is no big deal that he dyed his hair. It's just that people are closed minded and think that he has to keep his hair the same because everyone else wants it to be long and black. but a true fan is in it for the music, it shouldn't matter what color his hair is, how much he weighs, who he dates, what his sexual orientation is, or anything of that matter. Those people who care about that ****, are poseurs, and dont care at all for their music. they just like MCR because "like Gee is SUCH a babe" there is nothing wrong with finding him attractive, but some people go overboard with it, I actually know of people who stop listening to MCR because he dyed his hair....then when he dyed it back to black they bought the new cd. I wanna know what sense that makes. Do you think he cares what color we dye our hair, who we date, what our sexual orientation is? No he doesn't, he cares that you are a fan, and he was able to move you with his lyrics. he doesn't discriminate his fans based on their looks, therefore we shouldn't discriminate him because he dyed his hair.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

Your welcome :) Report It

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

From black to white then back to black again, that is a huge deal but it does not affect the music. I love them. I think it looks a whole lot better.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

People don't like change...they'll get used to it

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

Wow John thats pretty cool, Make a stereotype cause of the way they dress? Nice **** face. I agree, his hair doesn't affect their music so it doesn't mater.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

I agree. I don't understand why everyone cares about his hair so much either.

His decision either way.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

MCR isn't musically talented at all and they are just for sad emo kids that used to listen to rap.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about Gerard's hair?

What was the point? It was better black. Cutting it would be cool but keep the color.

How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?

I am trying to cut down on my beauty expenses but don't know how I can. I spend $80 for a color and cut and $130 for a color cut and highlite (I get highlites only every other time and color everytime). Plus, waxing my eyebrows is $30 - I try to go every few months and keep them maintained in between, but I'd really like to go every 40 weeks. She does an amazing job and I can't give this up! I sometimes get my nails down, so maybe $30 a month for that. Plus my makeup and face products.... Ugh... Any suggestions on how to still look good but be more cost effective? I try to do my nails myself most of the time. The hair cuts a big chunk.

How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?

$0. I pluck my own eyebrows, my friend's mom is a hair stylist and cuts my own hair, and I don't do my nails.

How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?

It does seem like a lot of money, but most girls spend that much.

I think that if you are getting acrylic nails, you could cut that out, because natural nails look a lot nicer.

Also, maybe gradually grow out your natural hair colour, and when it's natural, just colour it with semis.

How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?

Well... I work at a salon and get free haircuts, and on top of that I primarily cut my own hair. So that's free. And I do my own french manicure. And I'm good at it. So that is free. And usually, I don't need to waz my eyebrows or elsewhere, I pluck my eyebrows and wear boardshorts, so see? That is how you can cut down. Hope that helped.

Un wanted facial Hair?

I have been to an electrogist yrs ago but chin hairs are returning big time. This is to expensive. I also use a hair removal cream which last longewr than plucking but I am somewhat sensitive to it. I had read in a column in the newspaper Dr. Goth where someone used what I thought was called "Hair Gone" but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Hormones have been checked and all was good but this drives me crazy. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Un wanted facial Hair?

Laser removal

Un wanted facial Hair?

at the chemist you can buy a circular type pad that you rub on your body hair and it remioves it sorry i dont know the name but i think avon sold it too

Un wanted facial Hair?

I'd go for electrolysis again. It may be expensive but it lasts until some new follicles start to grow hair and as such is probably the best overall thing you can do.

Un wanted facial Hair?

WAX IT , SHAVE IT ,TWEZ IT,CUT IT DO WAT U MUST

I need help with LONG hair!!!!!!!!!?

Well I have long hair myself so usually my hair is always like how it is in the picture. I also sometimes curl mine. If your hair is dark brown or black then you would probably look wonderful. I also straighten my hair as well. Its a great way to put your hair when you are'nt feeling dressy or when you are feeling kinda normal. Oh and like never wear your hair in a regular pony tail. It looks hiddious if you have long hair. If you would though, put it in a high pony tail and maybe put moose and a little bit of hairspray on it too

I need help with LONG hair!!!!!!!!!?

How do i achieve smooth straight managable hair?

The things is for the last 6 months i've had straight hair because i chemically straightened it in the salon. The past few months have been complete bliss i can keep my hair down without it getting knotted.I want to do it again. But my mum doesn't think i should keep doing it with all these chemical involved. And i agree tht if i keep doing it, it'll just ruin my hair. But honestly my real hair completely sucks. Firstly its rather thick (i dont mind it tht much) and its very curly... not nice curls but rlly random ones. Like i have a side parting with a bangs. And now my fringe is CURLING at the end so its almost flicking upwards at the end of the hair. I look ridiculus! And on top of tht my hairs becoming bushy again. Its horrible. I don't how i can make look straight naturally. Because its a natural mess. My mum thinks if i spend half hour each day with a big hairdryer my hair won't look messy. And it'll look nice and together unlike how it is currently. I DON"T KNOW WAT TO DO! :(

How do i achieve smooth straight managable hair?

If you don't already have one, buy a ceramic straightener. You'll have to straighten it every few days or every day depending how often you wash your hair, but it will look straight, shiny and beautiful.

How do i achieve smooth straight managable hair?

Use a ceramic flat iron.

How do i achieve smooth straight managable hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise.

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Loosening tightly curled hair?!?

I stopped getting my hair chemically straightened about a year ago. It was permanently straightened for 10 years. I had my hair's care down to a science. It was very long and looked great.

A year ago, I lopped it all off in order to grow it out naturally. Since then it's grown about 6 inches, and I don't have a real problem with dryness. However, My natural hair is VERY TIGHTLY CURLED. It looked nice when it was cut short, but now that it is longer it get LOTS of mats and tangles, frizz, yuck!

I want to keep the curliness and the length, but how can I make the curls bigger and the hair not so tight? I don't want to resort to permanent chemical straighteners again.

I need products and methods that are very effective.

Help :(

Loosening tightly curled hair?!?

Try going to naturallycurly.com and exploring the site. It's huge and they have tons of info. Especially look for the board on "transitioning" (from relaxed to natural). The boards are under "curlmunity"; I think it's near the top of the home page. Good Luck! I just love this site!

Loosening tightly curled hair?!?

look for relaxers, i know bedhead sells straightening and frizz taming products. you can get them at like all the hair salons and in some stores too. bedhead has a specific product called control freak that doesn't put chemicals in your hair or mess it up. don't do any more chemicals or anything on it because that is part of the frizz and don't use like flating irons or curling irons or anyhting cause that will make it worse

What are some cute hairstyles for medium length hair?

I usually just do the big, poofy hair thing but I'm too lazy to put much effort in all the teasing now...anyone got any cute hairstyles that dont take too long to do?

What are some cute hairstyles for medium length hair?

i love the way ellen page (juno) wears her hair. i'd straighten your hair, or a messy bun is a good idea when you only have 5 minutes. also a half ponytail, or pinning up your bangs/front layers is a good idea too.

What are some cute hairstyles for medium length hair?

Try a messy bun!

What are some cute hairstyles for medium length hair?

(READ DETAILS) For my Biracial Hair, can I straighten w/ iron then curl w/ curling iron? (READ DETAIL

I want to Curl my hair in like big curls,Should I just curl my hair with just the curling iron,or straighten then curl, will straighten then curl technique work???

(READ DETAILS) For my Biracial Hair, can I straighten w/ iron then curl w/ curling iron? (READ DETAILS)?

If you straighten then curl, the curls won't be as strong. They'll probably be loose and will go flat in maybe an hour.

(READ DETAILS) For my Biracial Hair, can I straighten w/ iron then curl w/ curling iron? (READ DETAILS)?

straighten 1st, otherwise curls wont b as good

(READ DETAILS) For my Biracial Hair, can I straighten w/ iron then curl w/ curling iron? (READ DETAILS)?

sounds like too much fuss. maybe for an occasion, but not for just every day. if you have really curly hair, then why not just straighten it, wear it straight the first day, and then wear it in 2 buns over night so u get big loose waves/curls. by the 2nd day it wud b getting kinks and waves neway, so it would work with ur hair texture better. it wud b best to find a style u like wich works with ur hairs natural shape. it suits u best, and it wud b less damagin 4 ur hair.

(READ DETAILS) For my Biracial Hair, can I straighten w/ iron then curl w/ curling iron? (READ DETAILS)?

the best would be to blowdry it out straight and smooth, but yeah, ironing first then curling will work too, they just might be a little limp. it would be bad to just go in with the big curling iron. they would be lumpy. make sure to use a gel or smoothing cream when you blow dry, then a light hold spray when you curl it up. you'll have big sexy curls/waves

(READ DETAILS) For my Biracial Hair, can I straighten w/ iron then curl w/ curling iron? (READ DETAILS)?

You may be better off to just curl your hair instead of straightening first. It really just depends on your hair type though, "biracial" hair doesn't mean much because you could have a strong curl or you could be kinda straight or wavy. Test it out yourself and see which works for you. If you have really curly ethnic type hair, then you may need to lightly flat iron or press it first.

(READ DETAILS) For my Biracial Hair, can I straighten w/ iron then curl w/ curling iron? (READ DETAILS)?

if you have really thick curly hair then no dont do it...it'll work when you straighten it then curl it BUT then 20 mins or so later the curls will fall out %26amp;%26amp; it'll juss look a puffy mess!! %26amp;%26amp; spraying it with alot of hairspray is NO BUENO!! curly hair [[especially biracial hair]] needs lot of moisture %26amp;%26amp; hairspray+heat will SERIOUSLY BREAK ur hair!!!

How do i make my hair have less volume?

my hair is so big!! it has soo much volume and poof to it. how do i make it more flat? thanx a ton!! oh and my hair also has damage to it. ok thank you!! PLEASE HELP ME!

How do i make my hair have less volume?

use herbal essences straight shampoo. my sister used to have pouffy hair, but then she started to use this shampoo, and now she has smooth silky hair.

How do i make my hair have less volume?

aah, so jealous! i spend my morning trying to get more volume! my daughter loves the pureology shampoo/conditioner in the superstraight formulation. It smooths out her waves and volume. pureology is pricey, but worth it -- the moisturizing formula has worked wonders on my damaged hair.

How do i make my hair have less volume?

O wow sounds exactly like my hair. Ok so try anti poof creme by Sunsilk while your hair is wet and also try putting some gel or hairspray in too to keep out volume

How do i make my hair have less volume?

next time you get your hair cut ask to get it thinned. i used to have really thick hair but they took off a lot and now it's thinner.

How do i make my hair have less volume?

you need to get your hairdresser to cut into your hair more - this way you will keep the length, but not the bulk. If your hairdresser isn't up to this, then find another one who is.

How do i make my hair have less volume?

have your hairstylist thin out your hair next time. But in the mean time you can buy a smoothing balm and or shampoo and conditioner by Auqriage. You can find this at a good salon or a beauty supply store. Or you can use a flat iron to straighten your hair. Make sure you use a good heat protecting on your hair when using a flat iron.

How do i make my hair have less volume?

control freak by tigi xtra xtra xtra straight hair blowdry flat no need for irons

How do i make my hair have less volume?

You need smoothing products like Matrix's smoothing line.

How do i make my hair have less volume?

Pantene Pro-V Expressions Shampoo and Conditioner for your hair color. And longer hair with less layers...

How do i make my hair have less volume?

Shave it all off, down to the scalp, go bald, start over.

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

when it gets hot my hair goes bigger and some times uncurls

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

i gather that's not ok with you - right? do you want it to not expand or to tame the curls? well, if you want it to not expand, you can a) wear a hat b) shave your head or c) use extra strength hair spray - the guys'll never know, so it's all good

if you wanna just tame the curls, take lotion and smooth it through your hair - it'll weigh down your hair

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

so what do you want use to do?

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

use a revo styler and buy some ion spray that blocks humidity

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

Sunsilk anti poof

Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

When your hair is still wet, put gel in like Curls Up, and scrunch your curls. I have very thick and naturally curly hair and it does the same thing. Also, never brush it, that just makes it worse. Use a wide tooth comb instead. I hope this helps. :-)

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

same problem.....tough luck.

I have puffy, thick curly hair?

The best thing to do is to find someone who razor cuts and have it thinned. Also if you go shorter you will take some weight off of the hair shaft and it will curl better.

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

okay i have seriously big curly hair - i hate it!

i would really love super slick shiny straight hair

i use a hair straightner but yea it sucks

can someone please tell me

what shampoo, condtioner/ leave in one, styling products, straightners you use to achive this look??

please help it would mean so much!! i always wanted super straight hair i hate my curls!

AND i might get a CHI hair straightner cuz its on sale for lk 169? iunos anyways if anyone has it can u tell me what problems u had with it? lolz

thanks!!!

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

First of all you can get a new CHI straightener for less than 169, most of the 1inch originals sell for just $100. Check out folica.com for CHIs (it's a good safe website). Shampoo and conditioner doesn't really matter, just don't use something that leaves residue. Leave in conditioner- Infusium 23 (can get at a drugstore) is amazing. CHI products like Straightguard and Silk Infusion work great too! Blow dry your hair then straighten your hair in layers starting from the bottom, pin the rest of it up, then gradually add more to straighten.

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

Use Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight shampoo, conditioner, and spray.

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

Use herbal essences dangerously straight shampoo and conditioner, and instead of making your hair super straight and flat and sorta unnatural looking, play up what u have by putting big, wide curlers in ur hair, they add volume and make your hair bouncy, silky and shiny. or maybe u could use a round brush and blow dryer.

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

waer your hair curly one day. then the next morning starighten it! it workd so much better and stay straight longer. use a straightneing gel helps as well. and for the slick shiny part i swear by jhon frieda defrizz(can be found at grovery stores) and is cheap!

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

blow dry it before u straighten it when u get outta the shower and use the garnier fructis leave in conditioner

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

if your really desperate then you could look into permanant hair straigtening/japenese hair straightening :D

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

get your hair straight permanently. It's kind of expensive. But it leaves curly hair shiny and super straight. Its worth it

ME want STRAIGHT hair!!?

just get a perm

Straight Flat Hair?

How can i make my hair Flat

and straight my hair is usually

without straighting it poofy

its like a big ball of hair

its looks lame [my opinion]

and yeah i use a straightner but it

still looks poofy and i HATE it

is their any stuff that can make my hair

flat and straight?

if yes where can i buy them

im a dude btw

my ahir is up 2 my eyes

and the sides its past my ears and the

back reaches up 2 my neck

Straight Flat Hair?

Well the only answer I know involve appliances.. not sure if a "dude" could handle all the hard work us "chics" do to get the straight hair, but a blow dryer and a big round brush after putting in the straightening and/ or a flat iron all can be purchased at a walmart/ target or similar locations. Otherwise just cut it short.. its a lot of work.

Straight Flat Hair?

Pantene works perfect you can get it at drugstores or walmart or target.

Straight Flat Hair?

well ... if this is something you want for a long time, you can get your hair "relaxed" or "japanese-straightened" which are permanent straightenings costing up to about $600

if this is a one time ordeal try using a straightening balm. (theres one made with hemp that works well it comes in a purple tube) or my personal favorite BioSilk. Just smooth it on before straightening and it works wonders.

another problem might be that you don't have a good hair straightener. I own a CHI and i bought it for $200 and it is the best straightener ive ever used.

good luck :]

Straight Flat Hair?

GHD hairstraitener, they are expencive but well worth it, my personal oppion is that they are the best hair strainer made they make your completely flat, no kinks or puffs.

You can also buy straitening balm, and heaps of other strait products that you can find in chemists, of hair salons, or priceline or price attack...stores like that.

Straight Flat Hair?

you can always go with a higher heat straitener i use one and my hair gets really poofy too unless it is on the highest heat setting! but be careful if your hair is not use to a high heat then it might burn your hair!

Straight Flat Hair?

uhm wash it then blow dry it, or if you wash it night take our shower alittle earllier and wait untilit completely dries then straighten in the morning brush it good and just straighten to get ridd of a little bedhead

Straight Flat Hair?

Straight Flat Hair?

I have my favorite products and I am happy to share some info with you.

I use Joico KPAK shampoo, conditioner and resconstructor once a week. (Walmart and Rite Aid sometimes has it as well as http://salonsavings.com/joico/ ) The online store has the best prices for the above products...The difference between pro and supermarket shampoo's lies in the ph level as well as it being concentrated, using less is more, distributing through your hands first using a quarter size amount is all you need, I only have to buy twice a year.

The smoothing balm and styling elixer are awesome as well.

Leave in conditioners, INTEGRITY or Stregnthing Tonic applied before styling products will amaze you at the difference.

For flat straight hair, the smoothing balm is a miracle worker as it actually is activated by heat....

Good Luck....

Straight Flat Hair?

Hi Michael. Well, if you dont want your hair poofy, try this:

In the Garnier Fructis Haircare line, buy GARNIER FRUCTiS SLEEK%26amp;SHINE ANTI-FRIZZ SERUM

It comes in a gren round ball thing.

then wash your hair with a moisturinging shampoo and conditioner

then towel dry hair so its still damp. rub about the size of a quarter of the serum stuff onto palms then into hair. then let it air dry until its fully dried.

after that you can straighten hair with a straighten iron by itself with no chemicals and it will come out AWESOME!

I hope I helpped you!

add me if yuu want.

i am smart :D

Straight Flat Hair?

Purchase a CHI flat iron. Its expensive but it works really well.

How could I get white blonde hair?

By now I should be known as the girl going from black to blonde all the time.

I'm going from black to blond yet again!

This is only my second time, and this time I have someone who is a well licensed cosmotologist.

We bleached it yesterday and right now it is a nasty orangish and we plan on redoing it sunday.

I want it bleached so well it's a whitest, anyone know of good bleachs?

Good frosts?

Anything.

We have a license so we can pretty much buy anything.

Let me know.

I'm doing half my head.

Call me Cruella De Vil if you want haha but I have "big punk hair" if you will so it looks nice.

How could I get white blonde hair?

Bleach away, it's the only thing thats going to get it uber bright.

FYI your killing your hair.

How could I get white blonde hair?

actually i bleached my hair a while ago and it was like that, but then i just dyed it like white blonde with regular hair dye and it came out pretty good.

How could I get white blonde hair?

^ shes right though if you keep dying it alot your going to fry it. but like i have blonde hair and when i put more blonde i dye it. i dont do it that much though lol. but good luck anywayyy.

How could I get white blonde hair?

Taking very dark hair to Pale Blonde is tricky.

Yes it will require another bleaching.

To fix the "nasty orange" color you can add in a "Red / Gold Corrector". It is a purple liquid, comes in a little tube, only costs about $1 at Sally Beauty Supply..

When you mix up the bleach for your second session, drop in 10 drops of that purple stuff for every 4 ounces of bleach you mix up.

Sadly, you cannot reclose the tube so you'll have to throw it away when you're done - but Oh Well.. what's a buck ? ($1)

What style hair goes best with a round, big face?

thanks

What style hair goes best with a round, big face?

i would say a shorter hair cut and some bangs.

What style hair goes best with a round, big face?

You should try:

Short hairstyles with a swept-back direction

Off-center part

Hairstyles with fullness %26amp; height at the crown

BUT AVOID:

Center parts

Really short crops

Straight "chopped" bangs

Fullness at side and bangs

Here's an awesome site to see what hair suits your face shape:

http://www.hairdirect.com/resources/face...

GOODLUCK!

Hope I helped xx

What style hair goes best with a round, big face?

I've recently found the answer 4 me, anyway, :) i had long, beautiful hair, but it made my face look bigger, so i researched- %26amp; a short layered cut (see avatar ;) w/ some volume on the top made a major improvement! hope this helps.

What style hair goes best with a round, big face?

Hey, that's me! Flat straight hair makes my pumpkin head look even bigger. I think medium length with some layers to free up the waves keeps things looking proportionate. I also prefer light bangs brushed off to the side a bit to no bangs just to break up my forehead.

What style hair goes best with a round, big face?

I style that crops the face but does not add bulk. Bobs for example, or bobs with bangs. Layered bobs also look great.

What style hair goes best with a round, big face?

I have a round, big face and I have always thought that I looked best with longer hair. But I had to cut my hair because it was so damaged and now my hair comes to my chin and I love the length. I just wouldn't go super short with it.

What style hair goes best with a round, big face?

Shoulder length with layers. The bangs should be cheekbone length. A side part is best.

"It will make your hair dry and brittle"?

You know the famous phrase: "Straightening your hair often will make it dry, brittle, and unhealthy." Well, of COURSE it's unhealthy! Potato chips is unhealthy, too! And of COURSE it will make your hair dry, because you're using heat to straighten your hair! But the BIG, UNANSWERED question is, "HOW dry will it make your hair?" Will the dryness be so embarrasing that you have to shave your head and live as a munk for the rest of your life? Or is it only a slight dryness that will go away if you use the right conditioning/moisturizing products?

"It will make your hair dry and brittle"?

Honestly it depends on what else you are doing to your hair. If all you are doing is flat ironing it every now and then, it should not be too bad.

But, if you bleach it often and do a lot of other damaging things then it could possibly get very gross. I call it "Cotton Candy Hair"

Make sure to use the proper temperature for your hair type and to use a protection spray.

"It will make your hair dry and brittle"?

Depends how much you straighten it. If u straighten it every minute of your life then there probably will be disastrous consequences which might result in shaving off your hair its so bad.

"It will make your hair dry and brittle"?

The heat in an electric straigtener is so hot it scorches the hair. Want to walk around with burned hair? Once it is scorched,it breaks off, and you can't fix it.It has to grow out healthy again. Why is it everyone wants the exact opposite of what they have? An electric straightener is different from a curling iron as you don't hold a curling iron in one place for as long of a time and it doesn't get quite as hot as the plates on a straightener. I was a teen in the heyday of the curling iron...Can you say Farrah hair?? And I have seen some horrible damage from that. Scorched hair never will lie flat or look smooth no matter how many products you put on it.

"It will make your hair dry and brittle"?

I mean it could make you want to shave your head. Sraightening your hair every day is extremely bad for it. I've tried using the moisturizing shampoos and all that jazz, but the only solution i have found is getting hair cuts. And it sucks.

The only thing that has worked for me is hair serum, and I have to use it everyday and it's a pain in the assss.

Ps. Munks dont completely shave their head. They have a large bald spot, thats it.

"It will make your hair dry and brittle"?

the dryness and damage caused by straighteners depends on if u have coloured ur hair, got bleach, if u use em everyday or u dont use any protection spray.

usually the dryness can b helped by doing deep conditioning treatments tht help repair ur hair, using leave in conditioners tht add moisture n help detangle, getting hair trimmed every 4-6 weeks, using thermal protection spray when using the straighteners.

also where possible letting hair dry naturally or till its nearly dry then using the hairdryer will help.

and using a smoothing cream or serum will help.

me personally i have GHD's, i straighten my hair everyday, i have bleached highlights but i use all the right products and my hairs in better condition then most ppl's.

"It will make your hair dry and brittle"?

it depends. if you use a heat protectant hairspray before you straighten and then condition it probably won't be bad.

Has anyones bubble ever been blown on your hair or popped on your hair?

Has anyone's bubble gum bubble ever been blown behind you on your hair or popped on your hair? How big a mess was it?

Has anyones bubble ever been blown on your hair or popped on your hair?

What i did was a stuck a whole roll of bubble tape in my mouth. that's 6 feet of gum. Chewed it, blew a bubble, and it popped in my hair, my eyebrows, my eyelashes, my shirt, up my nose, it was nasty. What I did was peel it off of my face, rolled it up, and kinda used it to stick to the other pieces in my hair and clothes and use icecubes for the left over gum in my hair.

Has anyones bubble ever been blown on your hair or popped on your hair?

Yes. Peanut butter get it out, but leaves an equally messy residue!!!

Has anyones bubble ever been blown on your hair or popped on your hair?

it ended up at the hairdressers'...4 a quick fix with a shorter cut :(!

Has anyones bubble ever been blown on your hair or popped on your hair?

No, but I hear that using an ice cube to harden the bubble gum, helps to remove the sticky mess from your hair a lot easier then just trying to pull it out.

Has anyones bubble ever been blown on your hair or popped on your hair?

no,But i would been pissed and i can not see that happening as a accidint, that sounds like somebody did that out of meanness,Now my daughter got gum in her hair when she was young and i had to snip it out,Thank god it was at the end of her long hair!Hollywood

Has anyones bubble ever been blown on your hair or popped on your hair?

bubble gum in my hair.. i got a haircut :(( luckly my hair wasn't very long+ i was like 8yrs old

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

ive tried combing it while wet, putting shampoo in it to try detangling it with my fingers and brushing it but nothing happens and its pretty big. when my hairs in a ponytail the part thats not tied is where the knot is and it makes my hair look very messy.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

You have to attack the knot one section at a time working from the outside down towards your head. Try a wide tooth comb or a pick to ease the hair out. Do not do this while your hair is wet as it is at it's most fragile state.

If this doesn't work I'd head to a hairdresser who may assist you.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

yayyyy, I can relate cause I have very thick hair.

When I was a kid I had some rough sessions with ma and the brush. I had to learn,on my own,how to avoid the pain. Report It

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

If I had your problem, I'd simply shave it all off.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

If it wont come out with your hair soaked down with conditioner you may need to go to a salon to get it cut out.

Also try oil from the kitchen or mayo...anything real oily may help separate the hair strands.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

put conditioner in it and let it stay in for a while then gently comb it out

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

Spray in a lot of leave in conditioner and try and brush it. How did you get a knot that big?! You might have to get it cut out....

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

Shampoo isn't going to do a thing. Go get some detangler. That should do the trick.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

mayonnaise. that's the stuff.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

try a detangler! ...or cut it out.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

when your in the shower put lots and lots of conditioner in your hair, leave it for a few minutes and then try combing it while the conditioner is still in.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

If you don't cut it out, it will get bigger day by day.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

*put some conditioner , rinse and brush.

* mix water and conditioner, add mixture to hair and brush

*or just cut the knot off, thats what i do

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

ok i know this is gonna sound crazy but peanut butter.

my friend has tried it b4 and she said it worked?

than wash it out with a lot of conditioner... lol

good luck?!

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

You should try conditioner instead of shampoo because it smoother and easier to comb out. When you're trying to get the knot out go slowly and use your time.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

get a good detagler trust me that stuff works or if that doesnt work your gonna have to cut it out

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

Are you starting in the middle and trying to get it out? If so... STOP!

Get it soaking wet with some sort of conditioner then take a comb and start at the bottom and gently - GENTLY - comb it out. Very small sections at a time... patience.... much patience is needed.

Good Luck.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

trim it off

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

Try cutting it, a bit at a time, until it untangles itself.

I have a giant knot in my hair and i need to get it out?

Try using Mineral Oil or an Oil based product so that it can easily slide out while gently brushing it, that may work

Hair frizz question......HELP!?

I have long, loose spiral curls. I need a product that will keep the curls smooth looking(not greasy) and keep my hair from looking "big" and frizzy....I would like to be able to wear my hair down more but it gets too bushy.....any suggestions????

Hair frizz question......HELP!?

I am a black person with kinky hair and this stuff works for me, so it's GOTTA work for you. lol

It's called "L'Oreal Nature's Therape Natural Curls Defining Creme". It's $8 at a dollar an ounce (ouch! expensive!) but it WORKS. It's very worth it. And I remind you again, my hair is a cross between curly and kinky. Hear me out! :)

Oh yeah, and one more thing...after you're done washing your hair and conditioning it, rinse it with a shot of COLD water. I know it'll be a shock, but it seals the cuticle at the root and smooths it and keeps frizz at bay. Pat it dry, damp might even work for you (practice and see), don't comb it out (I'm sure you know this already) and put the L'Oreal in your hair. I hope it helps!

P.S. You can only get this stuff at Sally's. That's probably why it's so expensive.

Hair frizz question......HELP!?

herbal essences

Hair frizz question......HELP!?

There is a leave in conditioner by a brand called Zerran. IT works great, and you can get it at any beauty supply store. It has special hair keratin protein in it, so it reall y helps your hair look its best. You can also try rubbing a sheet of fabric softner in your hair to keep the frizz down.

Hair frizz question......HELP!?

try using sunsilk. i asked the same question as u a while back and got that as an answer. i bought it and it works. its not expensive. i got mine 17$ for shampoo conditionar and a leave in cream. get the green bottle which is for frizz. good luck!!

Go to www.myspace.com/forbidden and look at her hair its amazing?but.. how can i get my hair to look

Other then the color! What kind of cut do i need to tell my cutter? give me more websites of hair like this, anything with hair ideas, i know she has extensions, but i cant get those there expensive!! i want BIG VOLUMIZED hair like hers and a cut just like hers,, i love it!!=]閳?br>Go to www.myspace.com/forbidden and look at her hair its amazing?but.. how can i get my hair to look like it?

First of all, do U have the length of hair that forbidden has or close to it? If not U will have to invest in some hair extensions. U will need to have your hair dresser bleach your hair out or if your hair is light brown U can have her use a High lift/ very blond hair color using 40 volume peroxide, I recommend (Ion Color Brilliance HL/N-12.0) mixed with 4 oz of 40vol, and add 28 drops of violet bluing to cancel out any brassiness. I'm sure Your hairdresser can make sense of this.

after U have it blond like forbiddens then just blow it dry upside down, using your fingers to texture it out straight. Or if U have wavy hair have your hair dresser use a hot iron on it. warning all this pretty much kills your hair, so say good buy to your healthy hair. What we do just to look good.lol hope this helps you achieve the look.....

Go to www.myspace.com/forbidden and look at her hair its amazing?but.. how can i get my hair to look like it?

Hmmmm, that's a tough one. Her hair is (very) obviously extensions so I'm not sure what you could do to duplicate synthetic hair with real hair. Maybe you could just bring the picture?

Go to www.myspace.com/forbidden and look at her hair its amazing?but.. how can i get my hair to look like it?

Thats just a long basic cut with a few added layers.

Looks like it needs a good brush too haha.

Plus they prolly are extentions, don't get them unless you are to give 100% into looking after them. Plus they don't last very long, the ends go bad.

Go to www.myspace.com/forbidden and look at her hair its amazing?but.. how can i get my hair to look like it?

if u have a Sally's hear u they sell extensions also Jessica Simpson and that hairstyles of her have clip on hair extension that you can get and its not as crazy expensive like regular ones....

Go to www.myspace.com/forbidden and look at her hair its amazing?but.. how can i get my hair to look like it?

Buy some hair cheap like on ebay. Then get some application materials, and a training dvd. I did this and my friend was able to put them in my hair. now we are going to do my neighbor's hair too. check this website out.

BIG PROBLEM hair?

im going to be in front of more than 40 people on stage but no hair look i was wondering if i could crimp my hair how do i do it without a crimp iron tell me how to do it and how to get the crimper be cause no one might knoe

BIG PROBLEM hair?

Hey, honey,

I hope i'm not too late to help you.

Honestly, you just do you, whatever the style.

That's what makes people original anyway,

why are people so afraid to do what they like even if its not popular?

That is so lame to insult anyone who's asking a question, about something they need help with.

anyway.

I think its waves you are looking for.

Just wash your hair, the night before. ( you could also try it ahead of time to see how you like it, or to play with it, to get an idea of how it will turn out.).

Wash, and condition it, as usual.(hair should still be wet/damp.

Now, after this, add a good mousse to your hair.

depending on how long you hair is adjust the mousse.

it will tell you on the bottle, and you can follow those directions.

the key is to not put too much, or your hair can be really stiff, and look piecey, unless you want it to look that way.

work mousse through hair well, with hands, or comb through.

while hair is still damp, part sections of your hair, at a time and braid it, all the way to the end., and secure it, with soft rubber band, or something.

FOR TIGHT WAVES/DEEPER WAVE, BRAID TIGHTLY, you can have deep/stronger wave using a small or large sections of hair.

FOR SOFTER WAVES, DO NOT BRAID AS TIGHT, again, this can be done with large or smaller sections of hair, but it looks better with larger sections, ie. a dollar piece would be considered a small section, if you have a nice full head of hair(if you are younger, most likely you have full healthy hair), and if you were to divide your head down the middle from forhead to nape of neck and then crossways to get four sections per row across and four down that's good for softer waves.

the tip:

when sectioning off hair, since you are using mousse, try to off section when you are at the center of your head, so you will not see the center part down the middle of your head.

the important part is to allow your hair to dry before you loosen the braids.

and when you loosen them, do not use a brush, or comb, you can use your fingers, to gently pull them apart, and style them into place. if you have an imprint from a rubberband you can curl the tips, or just use a little heat to erase the print of the band, or don't make the clasping so tight.

There are lots of celebrites who wear their hair in waves, and thats one of the ways i've seen it done, it can make your hair look, sexy, without damaging it, and you can wash it out easily, or you can pin it up, pull it back with a stylish head band, or just wear it long.

Waves never goes out of style. I use to wear my hair like that, before i cut it, and i got compliments all the time. and yes, i'm considered "old" i'm in my 30s,

sweety, your hair will look nice.

honeychild.

if you try it and it doesn't turn out you can always where you hair in a french braid, or a french twist.

good luck.

BIG PROBLEM hair?

why would you want to crimp your hair ? are you 7 or something?

BIG PROBLEM hair?

r u like 10 or something...this doesnt make any frikin sense

How do i get SOFT curly hair???

How do i get SOFT curly hair???

I use the Farouk Silk Therapy, which is the clear serum, I spray water on my hair in the morning to comb it, them put some of the serum in my hair. It stays soft. I've also used Paul Mitchell Round Trip, and Citre Shine serum, they are all good.

How do i get SOFT curly hair???

Use conditioner everytime you wash it. I use the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine AntiFrizz Serum. It makes my hair smooth without making it hard and tangled.

How do i get SOFT curly hair???

I have naturally curly hair and instead of using gel, I use pantene pro-v curling moose. It leaves your hair much softer than gel. I normally put the moose in, let my hair air dry for about 15-20 min. then dry it with the blow dryer, on low, for a little while, just to fluff it up. It's pretty soft majority of the time, just don't put TOO much moose.

How do i get SOFT curly hair???

After I wash my air I blowi dry it. I put a foam warping lotion in my hair and then I braid it or put plats in it . And then in the morning I put the braids out and they came out looking curle.

How do i get SOFT curly hair???

How do i get SOFT curly hair???

I use aloe shine hair polisher and hask placenta no rinse hair repair treatment. I mix the two together in a spray bottle and then spray it on my hair after I shampoo and condition. Then I dry my hair and curl it. My hair is super soft and my curl lasts all day. I usually shampoo my hair every third day. I use the spray before I curl my hair every day. It's amazing how soft my hair is and the frizz is gone. My hair was really damaged before I started to do this and I would have to mess with it every day just like you. Give it a try, I think you'll be happy with the results.

How do i get SOFT curly hair???

VO5 Air style, rocks. i use it. keeps curls soft and in place but letting it move with the breeze and its not stiff like most gels.

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

WHICH FLAT IRON PLATE SIZE IS BETTER?

I want to buy a Sedu and I can't decide on a size. I know that the bigger one straightens hair faster but the smaller one has more control. There's a 1 inch and a 1 1/2 inch. Do you think the bigger one also has control?

This is how the plate size would like:

1":

-----------------

1 1/2":

-----------------------

By the way, I have wavy, almost curly hair. It's about 2 inches past my shoulder.

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

id say go with the 1 1/2

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

i have the 1 1/2 and it works fine.

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

depends on how thick and curly or straight and thin your hair is

thicker hair, bigger plate

thinner hair=smaller plate

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

Go with the 1 inch. It is better for your hair because it forces you to do smaller sections so you do not go over it so many times. The more you go over it, the more your ends will split. Hope this helps! I have a Ion and it is 3/4". --Don't forget the heat protectant! (you can get it at almost any beauty supply store..ask the workers there!)

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

1", its the size i have and it works for me i have really wavy/curly hair, 1 1/2" is hard to handle

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

I have long hair almost to my butt, and I use a conair 1 1/2" straightener. And it works really good. I think if you have short but curly you should get the 1 1/2 because of the curly it will take longer and with a 1 1/2 it will get done faster. Hope I helped! Let me know what you decide!! %26lt;33 B

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

I would do the 1 1/2. It's not too much bigger. I think you would like it better. You can curl w/ it too!

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

The larger one will allow you to take larger sections but will not be as easy to control. If you want to use the straighter to flip ends up, it will be much harder to do with the wider iron.

I reccommend the smaller one.

HELP! Hair straightener question!?

OMG! ask a hair dresser or a friend, that is if you have any? And no I am far from poor!

Victorias Secret model hair??

get extentions

Victorias Secret model hair??

Well they have professional stylists and probably add extensions here and there to get that effect..First your hair should be long, then you can tease it and curl the layers.. But it is hard to do it on your own..

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

My daugther's hair is BEAUTIFUL, but it is hard to brush and hard to manage. She is half Native American and Half Haitian; so her hair is curly but not of kinky texture. If you have any remedies that will help ease the brushing process, I would really be grateful. She cries everytime I brush, but her hair is like big ringlets everytime I do, I cannot think of cutting it.

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

braid it before she goes to bed at night so it isn't tangled in the morning. don't brush it, comb it, and always start at the ends and work your way up. much less pulling that way. i'm bi racial, also and before straightening, my hair was much the same as your daughters. it is a nightmare, and if she want's it cut, let her. it's her hair and she is the poor soul that has to wear it and deal with it. i know you think it looks lovely and no doubt it does, but you should think of how she feels and what she has to put up with.

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

Have you used a hair pick instead of a brush? I used to use one when I had permed hair and it made it easier. And pull it through small sections instead of from the roots to the ends. As long as it looks good and isn't in tangles, you don't have to over brush it. Also, there are good conditioners and other products that will make the texture easier to work with. Check out the link below.

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

i would think a comb would be easier, wide tooth comb, or maybe a pick.

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

My sister has a baby by a nigerian and she uses Dark and Lovely Cholestoral it costs about 4 bucks and can last at least a month or more. I too am NATIVE american and I am Sioux from Rosebud. So check that out and if it dont work then hit me up!!!

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

Use a product called CHI. You can get it from your hair stylist.

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

try braiding it. you do her hair and it will last atleast a week and you dont have to worry about do it for that time. try doing it atleast once a week or every two weeks so you wouldnt have to deal with it that often. good luck!

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

Any kind of conditioner or maybe carrot oil. A wide tooth comb in the bath helps too. Comb conditioner through before rinsing. Braiding before bed will keep tanlges from being as bad.

How do you take care of a child's hair that is mixed?

bye a no lye perm kit my daughter has mixed curly hair it helps to straighten there hair and makes it easier to manage also keep some detangler on hand

When i tie my hair tight and remove the rubberband again after sometime, it gets these big dents!?

which look very ugly . o cant even comb it and make it straight again!! any suggestions of what i should do???

When i tie my hair tight and remove the rubberband again after sometime, it gets these big dents!?

Use the thinner bands and don't pull your hair back when it is still wet.

When i tie my hair tight and remove the rubberband again after sometime, it gets these big dents!?

That's normal. Just spray your hair with water in that area and then comb it out. Also, it's a bit of a hint that you need to use better shampoo and conditioner if you can't just comb it out.

When i tie my hair tight and remove the rubberband again after sometime, it gets these big dents!?

That happens to me too. I just end up putting my hair up again or putting half up cause its like a line accross ur head. And btw it is normal not weird or im weird too. the other person prbbly has like unnaturally straight hair and doesnt have to worry bout these things.

When i tie my hair tight and remove the rubberband again after sometime, it gets these big dents!?

i wouldnt use rubber bands on your hair, it can also cause your hair to split and break. that can be ugly and unhealthy for your hair.

When i tie my hair tight and remove the rubberband again after sometime, it gets these big dents!?

oo the best way is to leave your hair down for a long time, i always get them. if you tie your hair when it is wet, you ahouldnt do that because that really causes dents. but you can run a brush or your fingers for a long time. you can wet it first then brush it.

When i tie my hair tight and remove the rubberband again after sometime, it gets these big dents!?

Is your hair thin ? Don't use rubber bands in your hair.Use ones that are made of elastic and covered with wool.

When i tie my hair tight and remove the rubberband again after sometime, it gets these big dents!?

If you are already getting these marks on your hair then it would suggest that some damgage has already been done where too much pressure has been put onto the cutile so make sure that you are using good conditioners on your hair.

the best thing to tie your hair up with believe it or not is actually a piece of string because it has no tention on it due to the lack of elastic etc. then cover the string up with a pretty scarf or ribbon.

It sometimes takes a bit of practice but you will get to grips with it eventually.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

k,my hair is unbelievely big and puffy,and frizzy.I can't gel it,straighten it with a iron,or etc........

it's giving me a low self estyem:(and everyone hates my hair including me.

I heard from my haircutter, and other people that I can permentaly straighten it,and even asked a hairstylist if it's ok for my age(I'm 14)and she said it was ok!

but my mom,and my dad are paranoid about it,and said I'll get sick from it or my hair will fall out.they obviously made that up......and they won't let me get it anyway....

plz help me think of something to convince them....they're too stubborn:(

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

That it'll always grow back.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

Let her know that it's never permanent. Your hair will grow out, and the curl will grow out with it.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

How about going with your mom together to a professional Hairsalon and have them help you to take care of your problem%26gt; They can help you find the golden middle , How about cutting it into a fashionable cut %26gt;or use a hairstraightening iron from Wallgreens

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

you're hair won't fall out. but i hope you know that getting your hair permentally straightened is raelly expensive. its ilke $300. i'm not sure if you want to spend that kind of money. but then again it does last like for about six months.

just love the hair you have.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

I had a friend once who had really tight curly hair. (Like Afican people sometimes have. she's white though) she tried every straighening product. Nothing bad happened to her. (They didn't work cuz her hair was curled so tight) yours doesn't sound like it's super tight curls, so it'd probably work. She was 14 at the time. Hope this helps.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

My hair is Naturally curly, fizzy and puffy! I love it but hated it growing up so i did the straight perm relaxer thing. DO NOT DO IT!!! it made my hair fall out and literally break off. The middle part of head was so short i had to cut my hair into a bob thing to even it out. It turned out to be worse. Try curly hair products that are specially made for curls like the Pantene Pro-V for curls, Bumble to bumble or Martix. Trust me, you'll love the way your hair looks by using these products. Juss please Don't do it!!!!!!!

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

It's still only going to be temporary. Just tell them it's temporary.

Because your hair grows from the root, you will have to constantly maintain the smooth look by having it treated periodically.

It might look strange during the grow out phase.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

I know someone that got a curly perm when they were 3 yrs old. No lie. She's my hairdresser. Perm's are harmless. I got one. A curly one but still. Its not going to ruin your and you wont go bald. And it will grow out naturally when your hair grows out. So its all good =)

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

Straightening hair is no different than perming or coloring. It's not damaging if you look after it properly. Besides, do your parents want you going through high school with low self esteem? And...I'm sure people don't judge you by your hair anyway. Take me for example. My mother dresses me in horribly baggy clothes and older styles. I hate it. But I realized only the really shallow people hold your appearance against you. If you want to minimize poof, when you get out of the shower, DON'T BRUSH YOUR HAIR! Run you fingers through it or use a pick. Don't blow dry it either. Try using a frizz minimizing cream, and make sure you get it in the roots as well as the ends. Honestly, though. I kinda agree with your parents. Think about it. While you're hair is growing out, it'll be poker straight at the ends, but all frizzy and poofy at the roots. Then you'll have to worry about curling or straigtening it everyday. That will dry it out and damage it enormously. Unless you're willing to chemicallly straighten it every couple of months.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

I wouldn't permanently straighten my hair....you should try a wash and set instead....which is putting your hair in rollers and sitting under the dryer...and then having your hair blow dryed...this is what I do to get my frizzy curly hair straightened...aand to maintain it aat home I wrap my hair up at night aand touch up with a straightening iron in the morning...something permanent could be damaging to your hair. Give the wash and set a try....

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

hey i am 14 too.閳?br> anyways my big sister got her hair straighten permanently too. it didn't work.

and my big sister said that some chemicals can make your hair fall out.

but if you really want it to get is permanently straight then go for it.

just be nice to your parents. they will give up and say yes

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

Ask them say mom you have no idea how

much i would dye for straight hair

Please Please.

an start crying..

lol.. I got my hair Curly before

it damaged a little bit.

But ifs you hair is that bad of curly

i think it would be worth it

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

First you have to know that nothing is permanent, after the hair is straightened the new growth coming in will be growing in as it is now, but the hair on the ends will stay straight until it gets cut out. after a few months you can do just straightened the roots. This should be done by an expert in hair straightening that uses Paul Brown, You should have your hair cut in long layers, use shampoo and conditioners for frizzy hair, blow dry thoroughly and flat iron.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

I used to have unimaginably frizzy, puffy, terrible hair. I hated it because people used to make fun of me and called me Hermione, because she in known in the book to have really big hair. About a year or two ago I got my hair cut at Hair Masters and the woman washed, cut and layered, and straightened it with a blowdryer! I was so amazed that she'd done what I had tried to do so many times before. The next morning, I took a shower, and was moving around the house, not really paying attention to anything. When I went into the bathroom to brush out my hair, I just stood there, and stared at the spiral curls. After a year, I managed them, and now they are gorgeous. Maybe you just have to tame your hair, and find the right shampoo and cut? Try TreSemme, SunSilk for curly frizzy hair, and Dove.

Also, my friend has her hair straightened every 6 months, and she has been having it done for almost 6 years now. Her hair did NOT fall out or get damaged because she did not DYE her hair any time near the time it was relaxed. As long as you do not dye your hair or use any other chemical products near the time you straighten it, you are safe.

My mom is worried about me permentaly straightening my hair.what should I say to convince her?

I would recommend against having this procedure done. I am speaking from personal experience. I too had curly semi frizzy hair and wanted to have a simple way of straightening it.

Well I had it done about a month ago and I simply hate it. I spent over four hundred dollars and I hate it. My hair now is so flat and has absolutely no volume. My hair is beyond pin straight now and I still have to use a straightener to curl the bottom under for the bob style that I like.

I regret doing it and can not wait until my curly hair returns.

Please do not do it. If you want straight hair buy the straightener that is called the maxi glide. You can buy it on line or usually at any beauty store. It works great and will straighten your hair temporarily.

Take it from one who knows don't do it. Save your money.

How do I keep my hair from breaking off?

I am a white guy trying to grow my hair long. I want to try it at least once in my life. :) My hair is very curly, and it tends to frizz. I can barely touch some of my hair and a big clump comes out. I use non-frizz conditioner to keep my hair from fro-ing. I need some advice on how to keep my hair from breaking off.

Are there shampoos out there that do not cost an arm and a leg or smell like strawberries, may be something for men, the will help strengthen my hair.

Any other ideas?

How do I keep my hair from breaking off?

Your question is how do you keep your hair from breaking off.

Hair breaks off when you get split ends. Split ends are caused by dry hair. So you have to moisturize your hair. However, you must have all the split ends cut off first, then start using a conditioner for your type of hair - oitherwise, your hair will still break off where it is already split.

I suggest you try a product on your hair to see if it gets rid of the dryness. Then get a haircut to get rid of the split ends %26amp; use the new product until your hair grows to the length you want it to be.

I am not "up" on which product you should use, since I don't have dry hair, but it looks like some of the other answerers have suggested products you can try.

I, personally, have a dry scalp, so I only wash my hair once a week %26amp; use the most natural shampoo I can find, as well as the most natural conditioner. I don't believe in putting all kinds of chemicals in or on my body, so I take the natural path. This works for me, but it might not work for someone with dry hair.

Good luck. I hope you find the right product to use.

How do I keep my hair from breaking off?

DONT!! long hair on guys is ugly. theres nothing that i hate more than when i see a guy with longer hair than mine

How do I keep my hair from breaking off?

Maybe you should always take care of your hair. Shampoo by following the time.

How do I keep my hair from breaking off?

put a little bit of olive oil on the ends, that makes them not break off.

then get strengthening shampoo and conditioner.

How do I keep my hair from breaking off?

Well if your hair is naturally curly it will be naturally dry because that's what us curly hair people have. First for shampoo try Redken smoothing shampoo it is the Redken for Men line, it is a professional product so it will be more expensive than suave or pantene. But it doesn't dry the hair out so it does help. Conditioner they have finish up conditioner. Your hair could be breaking off because you hair is so dry from the over the counter shampoo and it will take your hair twice as long to grow since dry shampoo breaks off easy. A styling product like gel will also keep it manageable. Good Luck!

How do I keep my hair from breaking off?

You can use hot oil treatment once a week is only $3.00 and it has 2 treatments in the box

How do I keep my hair from breaking off?

Use pantenes color revitilaztion shampoo and conditioner. So yeah, pantene is NOT good for your hair. But in your situation, it is. It's full of oils that build up on your hair (in theory: making it stronger) It will also provide a shine while your hair is retaining needed vitamins. Leave the conditioner in for a minimum of 5 minutes a day, and wash out well. I just bleached my hair many, many times... and let me tell you: pantene is bad for your hair but good if you bleach it. Stop usage after each bottle is empty (use for a month or so)

Thick hair with a rubberband?

How should I put my big bushy hair up. It a total curl frizz mess. And it seems like I can never put it up right. Any kool ways like buns and stuff! send me websites and you have a more of a chance to pick you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thick hair with a rubberband?

I dont have any websites but I dont suggest you use a rubberband it will break your hair off and cause it to be a even bigger mess. What I do suggest is get some styling gel and when your hair is wet apply the gel and scrunch your hair this will make it where it wont frizz and bush out. Just something for you to try and see if it works for you.

Thick hair with a rubberband?

well if your hair is thick and curly and bushy, like everytime you take a bath put a gel curl thing, its controls the frzz and makes you natural cul more prettier. go to garnierfructis.com

Thick hair with a rubberband?

straighten it and get a flat iron.

How to actually volumize hair?

I love the puffy and big volumize hair style and my hair is straight, sleek and smooth and it's soo hard to volumize my hair/to make it big. I want to keep it straight but i want it to be big and I've tried so many hairspray and even gel, i tried bedhead, gel hairspray, etc how can i get my straight hair to be volumize and big that last through the whole or half the day? Thankyou!

How to actually volumize hair?

Try a volumizing gel in wet hair, then blow dry your hair while holding your head upside down this gets more volume at the root. If that doesn't try very big rollers that wont roll around your hair more than twice because you'll get a curl then. Also try volumizing shampoo and conditioner

How to actually volumize hair?

Best bet cut it in layers, have it texturized then use Redken Full Frame styling mouse and a texturizing hair spray (I use freez-it 24 hr spray from walmart)

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

I try to straighten my hair with a straightening iron, and when i do it, it just turns out like a big POOF of hair... and it doesn't really get straight that much... my straightener is a revlon hair straightener.. got any ideas??? pls help!

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

You need a better straightener. Plain and simple. Revlon is a generic brand, consider visiting Ulta [ I live in San Diego and Ulta's are everywhere, but I don't know if they have Ulta where you live] , or any other beauty salon to buy a professional straightening iron. I owned a Solia which was EXCELLENT on poofy hair and lasted forever. I recently gave it to my friend and I upgraded to a Superstar. For a good straightener be prepared to dole out 150-220 dollars. It may seem like a lot of money but it makes a heck of a difference.

http://www.folica.com is a fantastic website You can see all the straighteners with prices and reviews alongside 'em.

Hope this helps

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

you need a Chi. ceramic one...

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

Use thermasilk straightening cream on damp hair, and blow dry it straight, then slightly go over it with a flat iron.

i have a revlon too.

but the best straightener in a CHI.

i want one, but they are a little over 100 dollars.

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

i use a curlmaster ceramics flat iron. it works good 4 me!! i got it from sally beauty supply. just use a lot of setting lotion and pressing oil!!

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

Leave down just a few layers of your hair, pin the rest up. straighten that layer. gradually add layers and straighten untill all of your hair is straight. put a drop of lotion(yes hand lotion or body lotion) on your hands, rub together and smooth over hair...should turn out fabulous ((If the straightener you have is white, I have the same one))

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

if you don't mind putting a perm in your hair , this is the best way buy a perm follow instructions without the rollers and just comb it through your hair. or you could go to a salon and they can strighten it for you but remember they use perms to do this also.

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

the only one that works for me is a GHD is won't frizz if you get caught in the rain, they are more expensive but i've had mine for a few years and it's great

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

Sounds like you have thick hair, like me! when you wash your hair, blow dry it using a brush so it drys straight as possible then leave it for a while so its defiently dry. Then section your hair, (each side - both sides, front) section it into about 3 parts using clips and do a small section at a time, also it sometimes helps if you bring the straightener down slowly along your hair.

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

use striaghtening gel or anti freeze cream and sunsilk straightning shampoo and conditioner..i hve a relvon striaghtener and it sux...i just got a new one yesterday..it works SO much better...it drys strightens with differnet heat settings for thick or thin hair...i got it at sears it only costs like $26 it called like wet to dry or something...it works really good...u dont need to spend hundreds of dollars on one..

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

yah a good ceramic flat irion will do and when i straighten my hair i have the same problem and i have a straihting balm it is like gel for the hair and how i do it is my hair is still wet and i will part my hair have a bun that is on top of ur head and with the hair dryer blow dry ur hair straight and after that u take the iron it will tame ur hair a lil more and after u got the bottom done you can blow dry the top 2 ways if u flip ur head and the hair is blown dry that way it will make it poofy but u again slpit the hear that u have on top of ur head and put the rest again in a bun or keep it out of the way blow dry that part straight and again use the flat iron to tame ur hair and do the same with the other side it may sound like a lot of work but it is well worth it and when it comes to ur hair u can spend as long as u want on it

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

use pink oil moisturizer put it all in in press it if that don't work try some mouse then straighten it , press it or you can Even straighten it with a curler but don t curl it.

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

If you have a Sally Beauty Supply store or something like that..go get you a CERAMIC straightner, and pick the one with the highest heat (costs about $25-$45). The ceramic doesn't burn your hair like other straighteners. It leaves your hair soft, straight and silky. That is what they use at the solons. Also before you dry it, put some Garnier Fruictis Sleek and Shine Syrum in it......that really smoothes and shines it out.

Do you know any good ways to straighten hair??

flat iron your hair..the ceramic flat irons are the best it don't dry out your hair..I like Perfect Results Relaxer..
