Someone please help me with my fine greasy feeling hair!?

My natural curls are finally growing back in slowly from a bad chemical damage about 8 months ago, yet I still have about 10 extensions on each side of my head because the damage was all cut out (well mostly) and the idiot cut the sides way shorter than the back. My hair on top and back is so soft and hard to hold a style. I've tried all kinds of hairspray, but by about 1 hour later, it's gone (even Big Sexy Hair) and it feels like buttered cotton candy and looks even worse. It looks great when I first dry and fix it but then 30 minutes later...yuck. Should I just wet it instead of washing it every other day? Would this help it not feel so greasy? I have to use blowdryer right now until it grows out, but I don't have to use shampoo every day. I BARELY use any conditioner (about 1/2 a dime size amount) or it will really weigh it down even more so. I'm tired of feeling like this greasy crap is matted down to my head. Should I not use conditioner and just use baby shampoo or

I reccomend a few things, since I have extremely greasy hair at times too.

For one, I never use conditioner if my hair is greasy. All it does is perhaps add a shine at first, but then your hairstrands tend to clump together.

You should also try to wash your hair everyday, if possible.

I do not reccomend wetting your hair without washing it. The shampoo is what cleans your hair. When you wet it, the hair will sometimes dry separated.

When washing your hair, try to rinse and repeat, with warm water. Hot water can damage it, and cold water will just feel very uncomfortable, and won't do anything the warm water won't.

I alternate between two shampoos. I use Prell, which takes out some of the oils in your hair. I also extremely reccomend a shampoo from Great Clips. The one I use has grapefruit and mint. It works extremely well. Though, over-using the Prell is not a good idea. Once it takes out the excess oils, it will begin to remove the oil naturally produced by your hair as well.

Try to stay in a cool place for a small ammount of time, and don't excersize much if you do. The sweat will make your hair even greasier.

And even though you didn't mention it, stay away from the Frizz-Ease while your hair still looks fine. It's supposed to weigh your hair down.

These are just things I recommend for taking care of greasy hair. I'm sorry about the chemical damage. I hope this helps, at least a little. =]

look for tea tree oil shampoo. (walgreens $5) the tea should balance the oil from your head. i think you should use condionter to maintain moisture in the hair. dont wet it, it'll dry your hair out. and take away its natural oils

use volumizing shampoo and conditioner in one.

use as little hair products as you can, maybe just sticking to some gel, mouse or hair spray.

let your hair air-dry down, and then try to put it up. blow-drying it will only damage it more.

if air-drying it makes it lay too flat, then blow dry it until its almost dry, and then let it air dry the rest of the way so it doesnt hurt your hair.

if your hair tends to be greasy, make sure you wash it once a day. otherwise it will looks gross.

hopefully this helps!
