you need a large barrel curling iron. They sell irons from 3/4th of a inch to 2inches. Bigger barrel on the iron, bigger the curl.

Roll wet hair freshly shampooed,with rinse on it,etc. with 2 fingers using 2 fingers. Don't take just a tiny bit of hair and wrap it flat around a finger with bobby pin on it all. The curls I mean stand up, stand out, and the (Big) hairpin pins in only the hair touching th scalp.Leave pins in till hair is ALL dried with them in. No hair dryers.
